Dr. Erin Stewart is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, a NCCAOM Board-Certified Acupuncturist and a researcher.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. As part of her doctoral studies, she researched a novel approach for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia with Chinese herbal medicine.
Dr. Erin’s treatments aim to address the complex interplay of genetics, circumstances and lived experience. Prior to her studies in Chinese Medicine, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from Santa Clara University. She then worked for the Chronic Disease Prevention Team at Denver Health Medical Center, which deepened her understanding of the impacts of social, environmental and personal factors on health.
Her early acupuncture studies led her to Lyon, France where she became certified in Advanced Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture), a modality with applications for treating pain and insomnia.
At present, Dr. Erin’s specialties include hematology, reproductive health, sports medicine & orthopedics and mental health. She has completed advanced training in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of sports injuries and pain through Dr. Whitfield Reaves’ Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program.
