Course Summary
In this one day seminar, Dr. Nieters, L.Ac., DAOM will lead a discussion and investigation of the pathogenesis and manifestation of autoimmune disorders, as seen through the lenses of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Biomedicine. Students will learn to refine their diagnoses using the most useful tools from various disciplines, including specific blood work, tongue and pulse diagnosis, and symptomatology. Students will also learn to treatment protocols for various auto-immune disorders comprising of dietary therapy (including supplementation), herbology and acupuncture.

About the Presenter:
John Robert Nieters L.Ac., DAOM began teaching at ACCHS in 1999, and is currently an Professor at ACCHS, Five Branches University, and UEWM, as well as being a guest lecturer at UC Berkeley and the President of ACCHS. John is a Diplomate of the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics and NCCAOM certified in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. John is probably best known for hosting the call in radio show, The Balancing Point, on KEST radio. At Zhejiang University in China, John received certification in the First Integrative Diabetes Protocol at Xin Hua Hospital in Hangzhou. He is excited about bringing this exciting new protocol home to the US.
