The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences with Dr. Alex Feng honored current President Dr. John Nieters as he passed the torch to incoming President June Wang on January 17th, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the ACCHS Campus.

Dr. Nieters is passing Sifu Tsui Wei’s legacy on to return to his practice in Alameda. During the 3 year tenure of Dr. Nieters, ACCHS rose to being ranked the third best acupuncture school in nation out of 60 schools of AOM.

The gross income of ACCHS approximately doubled in three years from about $900K to $1.8 Million. Under Nieters’ leadership, ACCHS experienced a significant increase in  student enrollment.  The Mayor of Oakland declared June 27th to be forever more “ACCHS” day.  Marilyn Allen, Chinese Medicine advocate, educator and community leader, declared that the ACCHS clinic went from being one of the “worst” in the country to “the best” in the USA.  Dr. Nieters also forged strategic community partnerships and relationships on behalf of ACCHS with the top educators in the field.

Jun Wang, Ph.D., is a graduate of the College of Chinese Medicine, Beijing Capital Medical University in Beijing China, and has a Ph.D. in medical anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She envisions a return to our roots in Chinese culture and to ACCHS becoming the number one place to study true Chinese medicine.
