Gabi is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist as well as a nationally-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM Dipl. O.M.). She graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Science in East-Asian Medicine from Berkeley’s Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC). She holds a Bachelor degree in Latin American Economic Development from Middlebury College. Gabi has extensive training and experience in facial acupuncture for both cosmetic and maxillofacial tension and pain. Her treatments aim to holistically address facial concerns by treating both locally on the face and by also resolving internal disharmonies. She specializes in addressing temporomandibular (jaw) joint pain and dysfunction through the use of targeted treatment to relax overused muscles and restore function to inhibited ones. She is an avid soccer player, runner, former pilates instructor, and certified yoga instructor who knows and celebrates the body’s strength and resilience. As a former high school Spanish teacher, she enjoys working with adolescents. She is continuing her studies in advanced diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of sports injuries and pain through mentorship with Dr. Jenny Nieters and through Dr. Whitfield Reaves’ Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program.
